2018 – FIAT 124 SPIDER S-DESIGN

The S-Design family will soon welcome a new member. This is the Fiat 124 Spider. The Italian two-seater convertible will incorporate in its offer this well-known special edition, which is characterized by equipping the vehicle with a differentiated image and a more complete standard equipment compared to other finishing levels that make up the line. A cocktail that in principle guarantees commercial success. The new Fiat 124 Spider S-Design starts from the base of the Lusso finish level and will be aesthetically recognized quickly. This is possible thanks to Mopar, who has designed an exclusive package of accessories for the 124 Spider S-Design. It stands out for the new anti-overhead bar, the front pillar and the external rear-view mirror carcasses in the dark graycolor and the new 17-inch alloy wheels with a special design. The tricolor emblem on the back and a red adhesive strip on the side allow to highlight the sporting features of the well-known Fiat convertible. To these visual details it is necessary to add the complete equipment of series that emphasizes elements such as the automatic climate control, MP3 radio with USB input, leather seats and steering wheel, cruise control, Keyless Go system, double exhaust outlet with chromed finish, antinebline headlights and the active hood system.

As for the mechanical part of the Fiat 124 Spider S-Design, underneath its hood hides a 1.4-liter MultiAir four-cylinder engine with 140 hp and 240 Nm of maximum torque. It will be available with a manual and an automatic transmission, both with six speeds. With the manual transmission you get the best performance, and the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 215 km / h. The configuration will always be rear-wheel drive. Together with a dual quadrilateral front suspension and multilink rear with a specific configuration, plus a steering with electric assist system, the new Fiat 124 Spider S-Design offers dynamic driving. The commercialization of the S-Design special edition in the line of the Fiat 124 Spider will begin after its launch in the Salon of Geneva 2018. At the moment his prices are not known.

2018 – FIAT 500 ABARTH SPIAGGINA TENDER4 BY CASTAGNA

Recently, Garage Italia, owned by Lapo Elkann, grandson of Gianni Agnelli, introduced the Fiat 500 Spiaggina, a modern reinterpretation of the 1950s Jolly 500. However, for those customers who understand that the power of the Fiat 500 is insufficient, Italian coach Castagna presented his own version of Spiaggina, but based on the Abarth 500. The Jolly Fiat 500 was a car designed to be used on the beach, which without a roof, only had a simple canvas awning to soften the summer sun and simple wicker seats. This was the concept rescued both by Garage Italia and by Castagna, for their own versions of the 21st century Jolly. The Castagna Tender4 is based on the Abarth 500 and offers a passenger compartment for four occupants and aesthetic details inspired by the Greek islands. The sides of the body are fully opened, as was the case in the original model, while the roof has been totally eliminated, leaving only the windshield to protect the occupants. The body is painted in ‘Aquamarina’ color with blue details and the rear has been extended, which allowed to create a storage space to transport everything that is necessary to go to the beach. In the interior the natural wood inserts stand out, while for the benches Castagna’s staff chose a mallet-proof upholstery, combining the beige, brown and blue colors. Regarding his mechanics, the Italian coach has not revealed which version of Abarth based his Tender4, but probably conceals under his hood the Turbo T-Jet 1.4 engine that develops 145 horsepower and, judging by the images, the propeller combines with the six-speed automatic transmission.

2018 – FIAT 500 L CITY CROSS

Complementing the Urban, Cross and Wagon versions, City Cross now appears in the Fiat 500 L family, recently the object of a facelift. Available from December in Europe, the new Italian MPV has an aspect aligned with urban crossovers, with black details on the bodywork (skidplate bumpers, grille, mirror housings and side frames) and more standard equipment, where it boasts 17-inch wheels, manual air conditioning, cruise control and the Uconnect HD Live infotainment system with touch screen. City Cross is available in nine colors – including the new Orange Sicily in combination with a black roof. In the interior, the instrument panel stands out in black or white, seats in black fabrics with white stitching and specific logo. The engine line is comprised of 1.4 hp 95 hp, 0.9 Twin hp 105 hp and 1.4 Twinjet hp 120 hp between the petrol engines and the 1.3 16V Multijet 95 hp (with Dualogic robotised transmission) and the 1.6 16V Multijet 120 hp between diesel options.

2018 – FIAT 500 SPIAGGINA ’58

The summer of 1958 was marked by the launch of the Fiat 500 Jolly, also known as Spiaggina, which represented the first special edition of the small 500. To mark the 60th anniversary of its passing, the Italian brand presented two new editions, the Fiat 500 Spiaggina by Garage Italia and the Fiat 500 Spiaggina ’58. The first is a showcar based on the original model, a result of the collaboration between Garage Italia and Pininfarina. The Fiat 500 Spiaggina by Garage Italia features a bicolour finish in Sky Blue and Pearl White, a combination of tones that also characterize the interior, which includes 1960s style seats. The waterproof coating contributes to creating a retro look like the various chrome details. The vintage wheels, the lowered windshield and the cork-backed side stand out. Garage Italia classifies the Fiat 500 Spiaggina as a prototype. However, those interested can purchase the model with any of the engines of the Fiat 500 line. For those who consider this special edition very attractive, Fiat will launch a more conventional version called Spiaggina ’58. Production will be limited to 1958 units, a reference to the year of release of the original model. It will be available only in the cabriolet version and will feature a single Volare blue finish. Chromed outer mirrors and 16-inch wheels along with classic Fiat logos and the Spiaggina ’58 rear badge in italics complete the exterior look. The interior of the limited edition follows the exterior theme and offers current technology, such as: a digital dashboard, a 7.0-inch center touchscreen that incorporates an infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a navigation system TomTom, rain and light sensors, automatic climate control and parking aid sensors.
